Eric expressed his interest in a simple but chic logo that represented the duality in the meaning of the word 'parlor' itself. Parlor can mean a sitting room in a house but it can also mean a shop or business.  Parlor rents both commercial and residential properties so it's the perfect fit.

When developing this logo I wanted to give Eric a mark that not only resonated with the modern renter but also a mark that felt classic and timeless.  So I began thinking, what's a classic staple of every rental home or office today? The mid-century Eames side chair.
