Space Planning & Design, 2020

Infosys & BP, Houston TX

Team: CD: Adam Lipton, Sr. Designer: Drew Jasperse

Infosys tasked our team with designing from the ground-up a 15,000 Sqft space to serve as an incubator for next-generation solutions for decarbonization and a Net Zero coalition.

The Innovation Center is designed to foster collaboration, openness and speed in exploring and scaling solutions that solve large and complex problems faced by the energy, utilities, and associated industries. At the same time, the Center will help progressive businesses, across industries, to explore and navigate their next in this domain.

In collaboration with Architects, designers, and many production teams we conceptualized, planned, and designed every aspect of the office build from layout, to flooring. to furniture and everything in between. In addition to the build of the space our team was also tasked with designing and illustrating murals which would be featured throughout the space. I the opportunity to design murals that spoke to "Inclusivity" and "Energy" which can be seen below.

When conceptualizing the space we knew we needed to design at both a macro and micro level to not only create a beautiful interior but also create a space the was functional and fostered innovation and creativity. We first started by researching lots of different office interiors and creating multiple mood boards for the overall feel of the space. We then detailed the functions and features and mapped these spaces to the building floor plan. Each space was then designed and planned - collaborating with design and production teams we selected finishes, colors, furniture, architectural details and more. Below you can see some artifacts from our discovery and planning phases.
